Aren’t these a fantastic gift idea? They are super quick & you can dress them up as little or as much as you like! Firstly, cut a piece of pattern paper measuring 8cm wide by 12 inches in length. Next, score at the following measurements and trim off the remaining 1/2cm from the end. Fold all lines so that you can see how the notepad holder will come together and decide on your placement of any rubons, especially those under the closure!
Pierce a small hole in the centre of sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ – these will be the anchor points for our closure system.
Choose a large brad, tie a 20cm length of string onto its base and then insert the brad from the right side of the notepad holder into hole marked ‘A’. Fold back the ends of the brad and push flat. Apply double sided tape to the 2cm section and adhere over the back of section ‘A’ to cover the ends of the brads.
Next, punch three 1 ¼ inch circles from matching pattern paper and glue them together. Once dry, carefully cut a slit in the centre and insert a brad and then from the right side of your notepad holder, insert this into hole ‘B’ – fold back the ends as before. Finally, apply double sided tape to the back of the 7 ¾ cm section and fold it over to cover the brad ends on section ‘B’.
Finish decorating as desired and then insert a Sticky Notepad! Viola!
Until next time,
