I sold a couple of my Bracelets last week and thought I'd invest the money into a set of 'Heidi Grace Designs' Clear Stamps that I've had my eye on - I just loved the detail on each of the petals on this particular flower!
The pattern paper is 'Daisy Bucket Designs' - the same one infact that I used on the Sympathy Card I shared yesterday - but this time I've used the reverse side.

I actually chose to remove the flower shadow as I cut the stamped image out and then I added some hand-stitching around the inside of the petals (yes, a little time consuming - *grin*), before adding a brad, silver pinwheel and a pink/mauve blossom to the centre of it.

I then added hand-stitched stems, leaves and border; I chalked the leaves in a light green colour, added a 'Happy Birthday' greeting sticker and then lightly inked the edges in 'Colorbox' Ink! Whilst I've used the brad to fasten each of the flowers to the background, I've added a little 'Helmer - Scrap Dots' under each of the petals to give them a little 'lift' and dimension as well!
I can see that this is going to one stamp that I'm going to get quite a bit of use out of - I just love how these have turned out!
Anyway - the good news about this card - for anyone who may be interested, is that it is actually up for sale in my 'Made It' Shop! Yes . . . I've come across an Australian version of Etsy and since I didn't have any luck selling anything there, I thought I would try this site . . . what have I got to lose? Anyway . . . stay tuned for more items being listed soon - I've actaully added a link to it under my photo in the left-hand menu!
Until next time . . .
