Since it's still school holidays, Mel & I haven't been getting together for our weekly walk sessions and a catch-up (I've been getting on the treadmill though), we decided to have a girl's night out at the Cinema to see Burlesque!
Burlesque stars Cher & Christina Aguilera and is a Drama, Musical & Romance Story all in one! It's about a small-town girl (Christina) who ventures to Los Angeles and finds her place in a neo-burlesque club run by a former dancer (Cher). Boy - can those girls sing! I guess the only thing I found a little disappointing was the fact that Cher only sang 2 songs . . . whilst Christina is outstanding in the movie - what a voice - it would have been nice to have Cher's singing featured a little more as well!
None-the-less . . . I loved it - it definitely got my thumb's up!
On the homefront, well - it was another busy day in the kitchen . . . the last of my Stewed Apricots were popped in the freezer and the first batch of my homemade Tomato Sauce, using some of the abundant tomatoes we're now harvesting, was made!
