The final project that I did for the February 'ScrappIt Now' Newsletter featured a set of greeting cards that had their backgrounds made from the actual packaging of various items in the kit itself!
The rubons and stickers all came with this printed cardboard behind them and I decided it was just too good to waste! Here's the results!
I do so love those rubon images - as you can see on the cards above I added a little bling to some of the flower centres too! Oh - and what about those ribbons! Aren't they just gorgeous and so very vibrant too?
Of course I couldn't resist adding a little hand stitched detail as well!
These cards feature a gorgeous co-ordinating birdie stamp that I stamped firstly onto white cardstock two times and then onto my chosen patten paper as well. I cut out one complete bird from the white cardstock and then cut out the body image from the pattern paper and adhered this piece onto the bird. From the second stamped image on white cardstock, I only cut out the wing and then used some silicone glue to attach it to my bird with some added dimension! The completed birdie was then mounted onto a punched scalloped circle background!
