It has been confirmed that our State - Victoria - has experienced the worst bushfires in Australian History. At this point in time, at least 750 homes have been destroyed, 330,000ha burnt and 126 people have sadly lost their lives with the figures expected to climb even higher (possibly in excess of 230) as 25 fires are still burning around the State.
The below photos are NOT miine but are compliments of NineMSN - totally unbelievable!

We have cooler temperatures here again today and light winds from the south or thereabouts too. It's been nice to open up the house for a little while that's for sure! A community fire meeting has been called for later tonight where we will be updated more on the fire closest to us and hopefully prepare us for whatever may be just around the corner!
