Well . . . Christmas has come and gone and here I sit on January 1st wondering where this last week has disappeared too! Even though it has gone quickly, it has been nice to just be at home and enjoy doing things around here . . . yep - I really am a homebody as they say - LOL.
Our Christmas was just lovely . . . my parents arrived on Christmas Eve and were able to share in the boys excitement the following morning. The weather was absolutely shocking though - only 9 degrees with rain & hail throughout the day - so not like what one would expect for this time of the year! It certainly didn't stop the activities for the day though - a game of cricket was still played with quick breaks when the rain & hail began to fall again - LOL - AND our Roast Pork spit still cooked perfectly out on the deck as well. Some areas of Victoria & Tasmania even experienced SNOW! Can you believe that! Amazing for this time of the year to say the least!
I have a mountain of photos to make my way through (and not to mention those that James took on his new SONY digital camera that Santa gave him) so will be sure to share some of my favs once I get myself organised again!
With the new year comes the hopes & dreams for the future and making those promises (New Years resolutions) to yourself that often don't last very long - LOL - well, I'm going to make mine very general - to continue to improve my health . . . to continue to give more consideration to the food I eat (ie. eat more healthy food options) AND to continue to improve my fitness (ie. exercise more) Yeah, I know everyone makes those types of promises to themselves but I figure I may as well continue along the path I've already started. Currently I am walking on my swing walker for 30 minutes, 3 times a week. I'd like to actually do this 5 days of the week and gradually build up to an hour. I really don't have any excuse for not excercising . . . just being distracted by other things going on in my life . . . so it's time to get my priorities in order and put the excercising thing at the top - my health will thank me for it anyway!
Having said that . . . I'm off for a walk! Have a great day everyone!
