PHOTOSHOP BRUSHES

I've loved the look of adding PhotoShop brushes to my photos prior to printing them BUT to actually develop some of my own brushes has been a dream of mine for a some time now.

SO . . . I've decided to become pro-active and see what I can come up with AND I thought some of my blog readers might be interested in some of my brush creations too - hence the development of this section of my blog! Just click on the brush name if you'd like to download the brush for yourself!

Here's my very first PhotoShop Brush - it's created from a photo I'd taken of some flowers I'd received as a thank-you gift earlier this year (see this post) - actually . . . some of you might even remember this image from my original blog banner?

HOW TO INSTALL MY BRUSHES

Download the .ZIP file (you will need an unzipping utility such as Winzip in order to extract the .ABR brush file once the download is complete). I recommend that you create a folder named 'Shirley Fyfe' to download and save any of my brushes into so that you will remember where they came from.

Once the download is complete - open PhotoShop - I have used PhotoShop 7 to create these files.

To load the brushes, you click on the brush tab and then the small side-ways triangle beside it. Under this menu you will then find 'Load Brushes'. Once you click on this it will bring up a dialog box where you can double click the .ABR file of your choice. You should find now that the brush file appears under the brush tab with it's image.
